Cadere o rialzarsi? Fall or rise?
Con un interrogativo tanto imperante, cadere o rialzarsi? Si viene introdotti nel mondo artistico dell’artista Attila Olasz, il quale trasmette nelle sue opere una tale energia creativa che affonda le sue radici negli stati primordiali della materia, dell’essere, per indagare la natura umana che viene messa a nudo, spersonalizzata dinanzi ad un paesaggio desolante, straniante e straniato, in cui tutto è silenzio, deformazione dell’io, predominio dell’inconscio. Nei suoi dipinti Olasz fa percorrere un sentiero tortuoso,
una sorta di “selva oscura”, che proietta il visitatore nell’universo dantesco dove tutto è fuoco, è buio, è un voler mettere a nudo gli stati primordiali dell’uomo attraverso la deformazione dei luoghi. Così Attila inserisce nei suoi dipinti le fragilità dell’uomo, che per sua natura tende a fallire, a cadere. E qui sta il punto centrale della sua produzione; cadere o rialzarsi? Questo sarà sempre un interrogativo a cui il genere umano non saprà dare una risposta definitiva né del tutto soddisfacente. Se la nostra natura tende a farci fallire, in quanto esseri imperfetti, è pur vero che il nostro intelletto, la nostra volontà ci aiutano sempre a risollevarci, anche quando tutto sembra perduto c’è sempre una luce in fondo al buio, una coscienza latente che sorregge l’uomo nelle sue cadute e lo sprona, più forte, con più tenacia, quasi a voler dimostrare a sé stessi che le sfide possono essere vinte, che non tutto è perduto e per ognuno di noi esiste una seconda possibilità. Si entra nei suoi mondi che sono dominati dagli effetti primordiali della materia, e si attraversa il fuoco, i paesaggi desolanti e aridi, in una vertigine cosmica che vede a margine l’essere umano, segmento di tale ambiente ostile, e al contempo unica fonte di salvezza e redenzione verso la vita, la speranza. A contribuire alla resa inquieta delle sue opere è l’utilizzo che l’artista fa dei colori. Dai rossi cremisi alle porpore, che sembrano formare distese di velluto, mantelli adagiati sulla terra che la ricoprono con uno spesso strato, si passa poi alle ocre, opache, piene, che lasciano immaginare l’odore della terra bruciata. In una natura tanto primordiale vivono esseri che fanno pensare ad un genere ancestrale, un uomo tanto arcaico quanto moderno, straniato, isolato in una realtà sempre più senza riferimenti. Attila Olasz dà tuttavia all’uomo sempre la possibilità di rialzarsi, di dimostrare che una forza di volontà è viva e grazie ad essa riusciamo ad emergere da quel mare di fuoco e buio che spesso circonda le nostre vite interiori.

You are introduced into the artistic world of the artist Attila Olasz, who transmits in his artworks such a creative energy that has its roots in the primordial states of matter, of being, to investigate human nature which is laid bare, depersonalized before to a desolate, alienating and estranged landscape, in which everything is silence, deformation of the ego, dominance of the unconscious. In his paintings Olasz takes a tortuous path, a sort of „dark forest”, which projects the visitor into Dante’s universe where everything is fire, it’s dark, it is a desire to lay bare the primordial states of man through deformation of places. Thus Attila inserts into his paintings the fragility of man, who by his nature tends to fail, to fall. And here lies the central point of his production; fall or get up? This will always be a question to which mankind will not be able to give a definitive or entirely satisfactory answer. If our nature tends to make us fail, as imperfect beings, it’s also true that our intellect, our will always help us to get back on our feet, even when everything seems lost there is always a light at the bottom of the darkness, a latent conscience which supports man in his falls and spurs him on, stronger, with more tenacity, as if to demonstrate to oneself that challenges can be overcome, that not all is lost and for each of us there is a second chance. You enter in its worlds which are dominated by the primordial effects of matter, and you cross the fire, the desolate and arid landscapes, in a cosmic vertigo that sees the human being on the margins, a segment of this hostile environment, and at the same time the only source of salvation and redemption towards life, hope.
The artist’s use of colors contributes to the restless rendering of his works. From crimson reds to purples, which seem to form expanses of velvet, cloaks lying on the earth that cover it with a thick layer, we then move on to ochres, opaque, full, which let us imagine the smell of burnt earth. In such a primordial nature live beings that suggest an ancestral genre, a man as archaic as he is modern, estranged, isolated in a reality that is increasingly without references. However, Attila Olasz always gives man the opportunity to get up, to demonstrate that a willpower is alive and thanks to it we are able to emerge from that sea of fire and darkness that often surrounds our inner lives.
